High school and middle school students can now note the key dates for their Baccalauréat and National Diploma (Brevet) exams. Here are more details about these important dates.

National Diploma (Brevet) 2026

Regular session in mainland France and overseas territories

The middle school students will take the common written exams for the Brevet on the Friday, June 26, Monday, June 29, and Tuesday, June 30, 2026. These dates apply to all candidates in mainland France and the overseas departments, including Mayotte and Réunion.

• On Friday, June 26, 2026:
  • 09 A.M.-10:30 A.M. : French 1st part
  • 10:30 A.M.-10:45 A.M. : Pause
  • 10:45 A.M.-12:15 P.M. : Français 2nd part

• On Monday, June 29, 2026:
  • 09:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. : History and Geography – Moral and Civic Education
  • 11:00 A.M.-01:30 P.M. : Midday break
  • 01:30 P.M.-02:30 P.M. : Science (Physics-Chemistry and/or Life and Earth Sciences and/or Technology, two will be selected out of the three — we’ll of course keep you informed as soon as we know more).

• On Tuesday, June 30, 2026: :
  • 09:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. : Mathematics
  • 11:00 A.M.-02:00 P.M. : Midday break

General and Technological Baccalaureate 2026

Early exams in 11th grade

11th grade students will take their early exams according to the following schedule:

• Thursday, June 11, 2026: Early written French exam
• Friday, June 12, 2026: Early written Maths exam

Final-year exams

For final-year students, the schedule of written exams is as follows:

• Monday, June 15, 2026: Philosophy exam (morning)
• Tuesday, June 16, Wednesday, June 17, and Thursday, June 18, 2026: Written specialty exams (two specialties per student, one per day)

Practical exams and the Grand Oral

The assessments of experimental skills in Physics-Chemistry and Life and Earth Sciences will take place from Tuesday, June 2 to Friday, June 5, 2026.

The Grand Oral, the flagship exam of the Baccalaureate, will take place between Monday, June 22 and Wednesday, July 1, 2026, according to the organization of each academy.

Second-round exams (make-up)

Candidates who do not pass the Baccalaureate in the first round will be able to take the make-up exams until… Thursday, July 9, 2026, and no later than Friday, July 10, 2026, at noon.

Professional Baccalaureate 2026

General domain exams

The schedule of written exams for the Professional Baccalaureate is spread over several weeks:

• Wednesday, May 20, 2026: Foreign Language A (written and oral exams)
• Thursday, May 21, 2026: Foreign Language B (written and oral exams)
• Thursday, May 28, 2026: French, History-Geography, and Moral and Civic Education
• Friday, May 29, 2026: Applied Arts and Artistic Cultures, Economics and Law, and Economics and Management
• Monday, June 1, 2026: Prevention, Health, and Environment

The professional domain exams will take place from Wednesday, May 20 to Friday, June 5, 2026, according to schedules specific to each specialty.

The oral project exam for the Professional Baccalaureate will begin on Wednesday, June 24, 2026..

Assessment exam

General education written exams for the CAP

2026 Exam Results

The results of the General, Technological, and Professional Baccalaureate will be released starting on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 for the metropolitan academies. The overseas academies may set different dates according to their specific schedules.
